when i’m not chasing light & third wheeling with you and your honey, you’ll likely find me swimming in any body of water i can find, browsing antique shops, admiring fungi and other forest floor treasures, camping, singing badly with all the windows down, advocating for anti-oppression & social change, howling at the moon or taking naps with my 2 boston terrier babies. i like starry nights and i vibe well with folks who have dreamy ideas & big feelings.

HONEY & LUX

I chose the name Honey & lux because honey makes me think of home: warm, loving, sweet & pure. the raw & natural vibe plays into the earthy & emotional approach of my photography style. As well, honey is often described as being the colour of Amber, so it pays homage to that good ol’ given name of mine. wildflower honey is my personal fave, and i often describe myself as a wildflower human - growing through cracks of pavement, soaking up light wherever i find it, hanging out on roadsides and viewing ordinary spaces as extraordinary. these are attributes about me that translate into my art of visual storytelling. we’re a good fit if you connect with this idea of living like a wildflower and showing up just as you are for our portrait sessions together - uniquely beautiful! plus you can always count on me to direct you into an overgrown patch of tall grass and wildflowers. the other part of my name, lux, means light! Essential to photography and essential to life. for me, capturing your stories feels like lighting a match in the dark - a reminder of goodness, love, joy, friendship, community and belonging.
